Project Manager

Igor Institute is looking for a Project Manager to oversee multidisciplinary hardware projects in both our Seattle and San Francisco offices. This position involves managing teams that are developing new products for our clients from concept through production. The Project Manager is responsible for managing client expectations, correctly identifying and driving towards project goals and priorities, clearly communicating tasks, schedules, and deliverables, and maintaining a continuous, positive dialogue with the client and other Igor Institute partners.

Core Responsibilities: 
  • Represent Igor Institute with a high level of integrity, and professionalism
  • Build and maintain rapport with new and repeat clients
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams working on complex projects
  • Create and manage project schedules and budgets
  • Monitor project team progress and make adjustments as required
  • Develop proposals and project plans and assume accountability for project success
  • Facilitate team and project meetings - Meet and exceed client and partner expectations
  • Deliver high quality results on schedule and within budget
  • Create and maintain project schedules and budgets, monitor project team progress and make adjustments as required, assess risks and control scope
  • Direct and manage manufacturing partners domestically and internationally
  • Contribute to the growth of the business through evangelism and network outreach
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor Degree required
  • 5+ years professional experience minimum
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts at all levels of the organization
  • Highly detail oriented to manage critical project and company budgets
  • Experience estimating and proposing project work and drafting proposals
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers a plu
  • Intimate understanding of daily project delivery requirements, issues, needs, and risk mitigation
  • Developed 3+ products as a lead or manager
  • Must be familiar with project management methodologies
  • Working knowledge of project management software and collaboration tools
  • Familiarity with consumer electronics design, development, engineering, and manufacturing processes
