Rivian asked us to help them make their trucks more adventure-worthy while maximizing the limited real estate that wasn’t taken up by driving technology. Our first task was to refine the pull out sled inside the gear tunnel with electric power access. But we didn’t stop there. We supplied a water storage and delivery system for gourmet meals off the grid. Our second challenge was to find new ways to charge and power Rivian Adventure Gear, such as their portable bluetooth speaker and flashlight.
Battery Packs: We designed a specialized charge/discharge port that can operate with only two pins and no communication. Designed to operate within the existing door with the existing battery.
Embedded Kitchen: We developed a new electrical architecture to fit the available space, even enabling power, water storage and water dispenser to work in a small space.
Our battery pack solution was so functional that Rivian adapted the technology to power many of their electric accessories. The kitchen became a customer favorite.
